Prozpektiva launches with the aim of shining light on new and up & coming artists. We start with one of our favourite producers the past year or two in New Members and a brand new kid on the block who will do many cool things in time, Gabriel.
After a long absence, Imported Recordings celebrates his return and comes back to his first love, presenting "Volupté Amère", an EP featuring their vision of house music: a multifaceted music tailored to ambience crowds in clubs, vacationers at the beach, and family at home. After releasing a last EP "Vague Aléatoire" in 2018, this new opus sounds like a return to the roots. The EP offers a "guest" half with two tracks from the demos we receive during the year. The first one, signed Martin Alix, is an ode to the dancefloor that will bring together fans of powerful bass and strong beats. The second track, deeper, is signed by the Italian Steve Hammer, and shines by the efficiency of his extended break that quickly plunges the audience into a state of trance. The second half is worn by artists from the big Imported family. The first one is a nugget that could already be described as a classic house signed Major League House, a melancholic track carried by a piano that takes you straight to your guts. Another talent of the house, Matthieu Faubourg gives us the pleasure to sign, just like MLH, a first track on the label. Evolutive and club oriented track, we recognize in "Swell" the characteristic paw of the French producer in this heady track which rhymes with rise in pressure and explosion.
Almost a year separates us from the release of Tour-Maubourg’s resounding first album Paradis Artificiels. The former “promising producer of French house” (Trax Magazine, 2017) had confirmed all the promises placed in him, even becoming “the flagship” of this scene, and being named album of the month in Tsugi and DJ Mag ES , or artist to follow by Libération. To celebrate this 1st anniversary, Pierre d’Estienne d’Orves invites 4 artists from his influences on a remix EP of this first long format: the producer, also Belgian, Flabaire, the sound explorer Molécule, the British duo Wayward as well as as the poet-designer-musician-performer Joseph Schiano Di Lombo. A sweet melting pot of genres between syncopated deep house, electronic musical experience, UKG and ambient. “I wanted to bring together people with whom I share the same breeding ground of influences” explains Tour-Maubourg, who also signs a remix.
STRCTR's latest and greatest EP comes from Ruff Stuff. Italian born, Berlin based Gianfranco “Nanni” Barnaba, is the mind behind Ruff Stuff. His music rooted in the influences of old school House, Deep and Garage with a propensity to find the newest, freshest sounds. Delivering them in a unique style in the booth, and relentlessly attacking the studio. An essential label for dance floor vibes, delivering time and time again with beats to make you moooove!
