Roseoryx, Lucita Octans, GTDLP4, Electronica, Electro, Techno, Vinyl Records, Chat noir distribution, Chat noir store, Gated recordings

We could tell you how this debut album from Lucita Octans is influenced by the full spectrum of electronica, with an unique palette of genre-busting sounds bursting forth from a singular mind. We could tell you this is raw but melodic, intense but deep, and tough yet fun. Indeed we could tell you how Lucita Octans is a pseudonym for Melissa Speirs and how in another life she makes dancefloor destroying electro with Biochip (CPU, WeMe).

But really, perhaps it'd be better to just tell you how Melissa herself describes the world of Lucita Octans.

"Lucita Octans is floating adrift somewhere. She is looking for the perfect world. Melodies kind of come to her by a somekind of phenomenon. She begs you not to take her too seriously. She was never here and neither are we.

New Members bringing the straight up heat to Dreamers. Rollers for fun !
The second release on Tonight’s Dream Records is delivered by Baltimore-based ambient and new-school Kosmische guitar musician PJ Dorsey, better known as Tarotplane. The Ektachrome Dawn follows on from the stunning Horizontology (12th Isle) and Light Self All Others (Impatience). He describes the album as a collage of work collated since 2017. Drawing in on inspirations from guitar-oriented psych and modern ambient music, using elements he values and revere in older 70’s head records and mixes it with modern techniques and influences. The tracks fuse traditional rock music, ethereal ambient textures and downtempo electronica, blended together seamlessly to create an engaging and unique listen throughout. The artwork has once again been designed by Tonight’s Dream Art Director Jonny Edmund-Jones. The circular sun collage was formed from various textures and curves collected over time—a similar idea as each of Tarotplanes tracks, starting as separate pieces. When the collage curves are viewed together, they create a whole/circle/sun, like the completed album. The album has been mastered by prolific producer and mastering engineer Rafael Anton Irisarri at Black Knoll Studio who has worked on album for artists such as Inhmost, Juliana Barwick, Grouper, Steve Hauschildt, Loscil, Telefon Tel Aviv and Tycho amongst hundreds of others.
After two years stuck in the virtual world our lil’ ninja is ready to jump back in the real world to deliver the 5th volume of the label’s Ninja tool series. From 1991 to 2022, over 30 years of electronic music are covered through 5 tracks.
First release from the Parisian label SOUR records, this very summery EP Unspoken Love from Moop Jr. takes up the codes of 90's House music : an intense 4/4 rhythm and a very groovy use of the sample. On the A-side, Esperluette and Uproar Funk are two energetic and solar tracks. On the B-side, Friendship has a slightly deeper atmosphere with a rougher grain. Cheers !
Welcome to Is A Feeling, a brand new label presumably from Triform who is also known as Scott Featherstone, and Beyond A Void, and Lemongrass. He has a kick for digging deep into his archives to turn out old but still godlier tackle and we guess that Underground Grooves Vol 01 is another such project. This 2" packs plenty of irresistible heat with the lively and low slung drums of 'Take Control', silvery tech edges of 'Skipron' and best of all, the raw, jacked up house of 'Remember Me.' All three are timeless and very useful tunes.
Frankfurt based duo not even noticed is up next on Chat Noir Rec !not even noticed is a project dedicated to broken beats, dreamy pads and ravy sounds, founded in early 2020 while the world was going crazy due to the corona virus. The Persistent Textures EP catches several vibes that not even noticed stands for with liquid acid lines in Quaisen and Backyard Dreams, dreamy pads in Backyard Dreams and a rave feel in Access Mode.
