Erol Engintalay's Monomotion project is back with a thrilling new collection of tunes. Sides is an energizing and iridescent trip down the echoing, cavernous halls of dub techno, instantly conjuring the type of late nights and dark, crowded rooms that this music is meant to soundtrack. His first release in three years, Engintalay showcases a new set of talents on Sides, an affirmation of this special artist’s stylistic versatility as well as a gesture towards what’s to come from him.

Yuri Ruggieri aka Yu is a DJ Producer of electronic techno music born in Pescara in 1989.After a long period of experimentation in the field of electronics, publishing projects he joined the French label Binary, reflecting his true sound. On January 13, the artist released the Contest track, the result of experimentation and research dominated by kicks and strong bass accompanied by hypnotic and captivating sounds.Yu loves to experience sound in all its particularities by absorbing the influences from old vinyls and drawing inspiration from the great artists of the current music scene and translating all his research and academic career into the Recreative school in Milan. His productions are magnetic and pungent creating sound balances, however he is not limited only to techno music but instead combines disco, progressive, ebm and house thus managing to create a specific and peculiar sound
A remarkable one-off tribute to the drummer behind the most sampled break of all time, Clyde Stubblefield, this 7” goes straight for the glitchy jugular, cutting up Stubblefield’s breaks from his time with James Brown into a blizzard of rhythmically complex, tightly programmed IDM, underpinned by deep, dark sub-bass.Stubblefield passed away in 2017, but his legacy lives on through numerous tracks that sampled his work across genres like hip hop, jungle, and, well, more or less every other genre. Most were uncredited and he wasn’t paid for his contributions.German artist SELEKTOR55 wanted to pay tribute to Stubblefield in the most respectful way possible, and what better than a 7” created to reproduce the look and feel of a 1970s funk 45?For Clyde’s four tracks bleed into each other, the intricate breaks and beats almost jumping off the needle. Crucially, as experimental as this is, SELEKTOR55 retains the funk, giving Stubblefield a fitting tribute from an IDM master. This is a vinyl-only release. 155 hand-stamped and hand-numbered copies. There will be no digital.
All comes together to present the 3rd release on La Rama Records. Nahash provides five pieces of varied influence for a cohesive effect, downtempo dance steppers to cinematic breaks for raw human motion. After releases on Shanghai’s SVBKVLT and Lyon’s POLAAR, Nahash goes local with brick and mortar operation La Rama. Working with New Jack samples and obscure orchestral Jazz, ‘Stockpiling’ is Nahash in a dance floor style, providing discerning DeeJays a tune for every moment of the night.
La Menace Records is a french parisian independant label.Pressing of the first vinyl which brings together 4 tracks from various artists, speaking on the 20th district of Paris.Influenced by all styles of music possible and imaginable, we tried to offer something very varied, exploring house from several angles : from old school refreshed with groovy sounds and lines to hip-hop jams, through much more minimalists atmospheres. This first EP is the first part of a musical creation project around Paris : this first disc is made, among other things, with various recordings made in the streets and metros of the XXth district. On the first side, house in the rules with the Groove Boys Project : a deep track based on the 909/303 combo.Next, Max's track, in a more electro house register, will transport you directly to Belleville with its captivating cadence. On the other side, you will find 2 pieces that go further from the current definition of house.First, Pasta Mool's track, in a more minimalist style, sort of progressive and atmospheric minimal-tech house, will enchant the more perched among you. Finally, as many samples used in house are also in boom bap, Soufflé Caramel, who does not only strip tease, has concocted you a hip hop track resolutely focused on samples, kind of a bonus track that we all wanted.
On behalf of re:discovery records, it is with great excitement that we announce the 3rd and last EP of the set highlighting the music of 1990's Norwegian electronic act Neural Network. Part 3 hones in on their unreleased album that was never formely named. The band and those in the industry who heard it felt it was their best music yet. There were label suitors for this album including a top tier Belgian label but sadly things did not work out as that label folded. And this project was left on DAT's.Of the 9 tracks we chose, there were 4 we felt would most fit the vinyl medium and the theme of the first 2 EP's. These fit in with music like B12, Stasis and As One for some lofty comparisons and we think it fit's perfectly in that esteem company. The Detroit-esque beautifully somber 'Lambent' sounds almost 'Tedra' like from Kenny Larkin. 'Jetstream' is pure melodic robotic funk from the future. The side B track 'Floatation' coming in at just over 18 minutes and is a prime example of the sci-fi music they so wonderfully produced. This 3 record series is a great example of re:discovery records' mission to present the past for the future. All feature amazing artwork from UK's Grid Pattern complete with insert that features info on the music and their history. Bring back the Chill Out Rooms!
