Tread Records return with their second release, a 4-track VA featuring new music from Acidfinky, Lisene, Reynes and Eurlica.Expect an eclectic mix of club-ready, leftfield dance music concocted in various home studios across the world, from Leeds all the way to Japan. From dark and atmospheric bass, breaks, and broken techno, to UKG-inspired floor-fillers, this one has something for everyone
The 4th release is about the 6th district of Paris, and we're really glad to have on the first side, two brothers of the team, Max Cohle and Quatri aka Konalgad for his personal first release on vinyl.Max Cohle's track is founded on two different grooves, dubby and acid, that matches perfectly together.Quatri's one is an acid minimal track with a lot of energy and a progression that will blow your mind.On the other hand, we're really proud to have one of our favorite artists and a really good friend, Mister Beneath Usual, that has an impressive carrier with this patronym but that we'd also always loved for his worldwide known trance projects. His track is a groovy minimal one in reference to the concrete music originally thought by Pierre Schaeffer. After him is Olivier Romero, an underground Dj of the parisian scene that had been here for many years, and that's known by so many in the game. 'Odé on Ice' has a great melody that stays in mind for several days and fits magically the groove of the rythmics. Finally we welcome the young Leo Leyzerowitz with his wonderful and powerful track 'Saint Suplice' that continually grows with the groove. We hope you'll enjoy it :)LMR004, Paris 2022.Mastering by SFX Masterng.
Ukrainian producer and DJ Sider returns to the catalog with another ethno-techno filled four tracker! The release contains tracks that were written while traveling the world. Inspired by his favourite places- Indonesia and Sri Lanka, these tracks contain live field recordings from his travels beautifully blending techno, trance, drum & bass, amdient, electro and breaks!Halted by the travesty of war, traveling through sound has become more essential than ever. This beautiful EP represents the strong artistic culture of the many Ukrainians that are no longer able to travel physically around the world but continue to traverse soundscapes, continuing to dream and create.
On behalf of re:discovery records, it is with great excitement that we announce the 1st of a 3EP set highlighting the music on 1990's Norwegian electronic act Neural Network. In 1993-1995 they released 2 full albums or Origo Sound that featured label mates Biosphere. In 1993 they opened up for Prodigy and shared the bill with other seminal acts like AFX, Autechre, Orbital and H.I.A among other heavyweights. However, their 2 full albums 'Brain-State-In-A-Box' & 'Modernité' did not get picked up by any other label or distributer and their popularity stayed regional. In fact a 3rd album was never released (Until part 3 comes from this series!) and sadly they went their separate ways to form other electronic acts in 1997. We hope to shine a bright light on their early music. Side A features the wonderful aquatic adventure in 'Aqueous' followed by a shift into the sci-fi realm with the mysterious 'Mechanical Heart'. Two great examples that show off the group's deep post rave sound for the future. A real melding of styles. All 3 EP's have inserts where the band shares their memories of the early days. All these tracks in the series are placed on vinyl for the first time with fantastic artwork by UK's Grid Pattern. Dare to Dream! Its not only our credo at re:discovery records but it's also our goal in hearing music that was made for the stars.
Following a series of VA EPs, Broken District releases its first mini LP: “South Side” by Sofatalk. The collaboration between the label and the Italian artist feels natural, as they share a mutual vision of music, a nifty blend of jazz and soul-influenced electronic music landscape. Throughout the 6 tracks of “South Side”, SofaTalk explores and twists jazz, broken beat, house music and funk, resulting in the most accomplished work to date for the producer, but also for the label.
