Due for release on Parisian label Planisphère in June 2025, Maât's second album Lustra shows how the band has reinvented its universe since their debut LP “Solar Mantra” released on German label Growing Bin Records in 2020. Initially a trio and now a four-headed combo of instrumentalists and producers, Maât aims to create a music that pays fidelity to their original fourth world and ambient-pop approach, but now enhanced with embodied elements of jazz, dance music and folk. From the footwork infused oddball of the title track "Lustra" to the ethio-jazz reminiscences of "Addis Acidd" via the dark and wooden fourth world jam "A l'Orée Des Pins", this new album shows how wide are the band influences. Beyond musical standards, "Lustra" is our journey into the cosmic potentials of sonic togetherness.
