UTE012 is an EP from Ute co-founder Teo Bachs who is coming straight off his EP debut on the Seoul based label Junction Forest. This time around traversing more moody and melancholic territory showcasing his spectrum of deep trance, tribal breaks & hypnotic atmospheres for his Ute.Rec EP debut.
RDS plumbs the depths of analogue texture on his Kalahari debut proper. Following a guest appearance on Eversines’ ‘Plooi’ EP, the Amsterdam artist returns to explore the more expansive integers of his hi-tech sound across four deftly crafted tracks. It's exactly the sort of enveloping, sophisticated material we’ve come to expect from a De Lichting member.Straight deep space manoeuvres on the opener. Setting billowing widescreen pads against solid, tight groove, ‘2312’ feels as if it’s escaping the eye of some turbulent solar event. Then, landing with a sensitivity absent from the harsh climes of its predecessor, ‘BBsuite’ leaps from translunar to tenderness with dappled keys and lithe breakbeat intricacy. Saying that, there’s still something undeniably explorative and sc-fi in its mood, almost reminiscent of Orbital or Future Sound of London. There’s more refined deepness on the flip, starting with ‘Silky’s supple, slinky flex. Forlorn, exquisitely widescreen ambient techno, it treads between the warm optimism of early Detroit modes and a certain somber melancholia. And finally, ‘Autechrein’ finds RDS smudging his palette on a dusty, downtempo overhaul of the after-hours formula.
Panea is back to the ether, accompanied by the esteemed TxL. We proudly present 'The Roots,' an exceptional compilation of four tracks designed to elevate the mood of every dancefloor. The A-side boasts a commanding bass electro track, setting the stage for a vibrant dancefloor experience, following a delightful blend of house and breakbeat vibes. On the other side a fusion of dreamy percussion grooves skillfully composed by TxL. The record reaches its zenith with a Latin-infused, groovy track, perfect for an after-party.
The Metropolitan Soul Museum helmed Kulture Galerie returns with Volume 2 of its various artist focused release series. This new 5 tracks compilation showcases some of the finest Dutch and American sound, all brought together by London's own MSM.Amongst the collection there is an original composition from lauded American artist and Delsin regular John Beltran (+ a special ambient version of said track available exclusively on Bandcamo), and more from Böhm (030303), US' best kept secret Tramic, De Lighting's' own Nathan Kofi & RDS and of course the label bosses Metropolitan Soul Museum themselves.
