Moonee’s New Effort « Wabi Sabi » on Groovence Discs 🌿

Throughout his relatively short career in solo (His contribution to house duet Twice Movement started in 2015) , Groovence’s Head Moonee (real name François Lefevre) has delivered some top shelf contributions over the last years, appearances like his debut track on Groovence last year « Faith & Sorrow » and an official remix for Sweely’s banger « Gotta Keep On » in 2020.

This debut EP was composed at home between 2019 and 2020, as time was flying during the first covid lockdown.
With most daily constraints gone, Moonee had time to plug in his MPCs and finish this batch of tracks. Blending contemporary and classic deep house, the EP draws inspiration from artists such as Mr.G, Dj Q, Linkwood or Theo Parrish.

*« Wabi-sabi » is a Japanese ancient aesthetic and spiritual concept that celebrates the imperfection of things. Focused on the notion of beauty and the passage of time"

One year after the release of a 1st EP which turned sold out in a few weeks - and which attracted the benevolent glances from many figureheads of the genre like Point G, Varhat, Janeret, Brawther or Lowris - Saudade is back on Pont Neuf with Xango, a new 4-tracker synthesizing his love for Brazil and the minimal sounds.
Another debut on Chat Noir Tools! Sunaas is up next with his Master Blaster EP, a powerful blend of electro, house, breaks & downtempo with touches of 80's movies samples. The young producer follows up the CNT mantra with amazing dancefloor weapons.
Rotterdam-based Beyun returns to Vault Wax with four deep cuts of Detroit-meets-UK influenced breaks and electro with lush pads, emotive strings, and cosmic acid lines.
We could tell you how this debut album from Lucita Octans is influenced by the full spectrum of electronica, with an unique palette of genre-busting sounds bursting forth from a singular mind. We could tell you this is raw but melodic, intense but deep, and tough yet fun. Indeed we could tell you how Lucita Octans is a pseudonym for Melissa Speirs and how in another life she makes dancefloor destroying electro with Biochip (CPU, WeMe).But really, perhaps it'd be better to just tell you how Melissa herself describes the world of Lucita Octans."Lucita Octans is floating adrift somewhere. She is looking for the perfect world. Melodies kind of come to her by a somekind of phenomenon. She begs you not to take her too seriously. She was never here and neither are we.
Robotic and cybernetic house music, trance tainted for this new various artist.Steroid rhythms, tribal percussions and mechanic sequences are dealing with distorted synth riffs and transcendental pads.Perfect OST for futuristic cities dancefloors, funky cyborgs, weird aliens, space mutants and humanoids dancing and having communion together in this big melting pot, creating the diversity and the particular sound of the megacity. For this third vinyl, Dynamiterie records artists are painting a wacky and fun dystopia.
An oddball fantasie by Bulgarian brainiac Puma & The Dolphin out now on a newly born Brussels imprintッ
