Solenoid is making something different this time with its latest release, “Nocturnal Animal” from the prolific label owner, Erta Ale. A single-sided 12” record that shows his wide range of production skills and exquisite musical taste.
Kicking off “Is That U?” following the vibes of his previous successful EP “Panorama”. The punchy percussion shuffles with ease, laying a foundation for the sensual vocals that cascade and build throughout, all riding effortlessly over deep acid tweaks.
"Nocturnal Animal” that gives the name to the EP is a rave-ish funky techno track. This one is certain to melt minds and excite feet on every dancefloor.

Help020 is the second of two new 8-track albums by Central.
TwoStep2 aka DJ Relay and Jo Public have been known for their superlative but distinctly old skool sounds, but lead track on this three cut 12" is rather a subtle departure. The beat is a little more wonderfully wonky than you might expect and the bassline bigger and more adventurous, with pleasingly original results. 'Starlight' plays off its abrasive backspins with fluttering harps that are more Luke Vibert than Sticky or Noodles, true genius, and a bubbling beat to boot. 'Weapon of Choice' plunders ravier elements but again, it's no museum piece with its off kilter piano and slowed down, drowsy atmospherics. If you're looking for memorable tunes that stick out rather than fit in, make this your destination.
Second record from Danish JONGPADAWAN. 3 tracks heating up the club and 1 track to calm you back down after a wavy night out on the floor. Time to get real.
Lacking no celerity in its approach to dancefloor traction, the second incursion on STRCTR from Paris-based rising talent Vitess is primed to slap a smile on the face of 90s breaks, electroid techno dashers and pumped-up trance lovers. Following up to releases on Happiness Therapy, Pulse Msc and Chat Noir Tools, Vitess is bound to break the sound barrier with “Splitter” - a no-frills four-tracker featuring two originals + two remixes designed to bulldoze its way onto upper spheres of consciousness with absolute panache and determination.
Salt Mines welcomes newcomer Zara to the family with an EP inspired by the sounds, colours and textures of festivals in the Australian bush. With this record Zara debuts a musical style that is de􀀁ned in its identity yet de􀀁es categorisation.
