After nearly 30 years, Oboro Records is back! With the reissue of their classic Lookout EP earlier in the year on AGT Records, the legendary San Francisco label returns with a reissue of one of their first ever records, from E.T.I & Graeme. However, unlike the original, there is now a new remix from one of the founders and label mainstays.
Kineta is out with their final record in their Proto-series, the power duo consisting of our very own Oprofessionell and Ute-affiliate and friend Alpha Tracks. The final record brings high speed euphoria, together with hypnotic, trippy trance cuts and an emotional downtempo track on the b-side.
DE RIO 001 is the first release of the collective from Florence ‘DE RIO’ as a newborn label. The record is a V/A born and conceived in 2021 featuring three banging dj-tool tracks from DE RIO’s residents. The sound and stylistic research of each artist is shown in different sides of techno music: on the A-side we find ‘Climax’ by Abo, a trance-y, progressive, acid track, mixing glitched sounds and acid basslines, evolving and turning into continuous and frenetic drops; TOMO then delivers breaks and Detroit stabs in ‘Banagalore’, a big-hitting-kick, percussive and warehouse-oriented track. The Ep is closed on the B-side with ‘Red Dial’ by Plastique01: a solid 90’s rhythm with a dreamy and romantic pad giving life to a 145 BPM proper techno track.Tracks written and produced by Daniele Carcassi, Tommaso Andorlini, Giulio Da Rin. Mastered by Giovanni Onorato at KHM, Stockholm (SWE). Graphic Design by Enrico Caldini.
Following up to his 2017 summer anthem ‘Please Stay’ which gleaned over 4M views on YouTube to this day, French producer Matthieu Faubourg makes his long awaited return on STRCTR with ‘Infinity’ - an enticingly lush four-tracker made up of two original jams and a pair of matching reworks courtesy of Amsterdam based vibist Frits Wentink and Parisian producer Leo Pol.
