Solar Suite Roza Terenzi On Rotation One Eye Witness Chat Noir Distribution Vinyl

Following the success of their first release, Leeds-based label On Rotation returns with a 4-track EP from Australian producer Solar Suite. Expanding on the contemporary style of his debut release on Echocentric Records, the Slingshot EP shows off his ability to inject groove and a sense of fun into a trippy, compelling framework.

Joining him on the remix is fellow Aussie and Step Ball Chain label head Roza Terenzi, twisting the title track into a dark and brooding peak time stomper.

“This EP was written throughout Melbourne's 2020 lockdown, what seems like an eternity ago... In hindsight, it provided me with the perfect opportunity to grow and learn as a producer.

Finding the motivation and drive to write and finish these tracks was a definite challenge,
but overall something I am very proud of and ecstatic to have the opportunity to be working with Adam, Marlon, Chris and Katie to bring this to life.”

This marks the second release for On Rotation, the party turned label headed by Chris I’Anson, Lisene & Adam Pits. “We’re hyped to have Solar Suite on the label for our second release and excited to share what we have in store for the future of the label. Once again the artwork has been done by the amazing Bristol based Illustrator Patch D Keyes.” - Chris

Emerging from the shadows, Hesperius Draco returns to Frigio with a solo release for the first time since his 2016 album Actus Tragicus.Directive V conjures up the magic of giallo horror, silver screen slashers and smoky synthlines, while exploring something altogether new. Tempered percussion and low bass-lines introduce the 12” with “Lexploitation”. Cinematic influences percolate in the steady percussion and lonesome elation of “Memories of Sex Desire.” The mood changes on the flip with “Leaders In Space.” Guitar strings and breathy samples blend to create a leering late lounge track spiked with acid notes and vocoder bitterness. The finale brings something totally different. The gurgling acid line is amplified as Hesperius Draco unveils “Cyber Bondage.” Floor centric and machine steeped, stabbing synth-lines, rusted rhythms and an inchoate energy course through this finale to display yet another side of Alessandro Parisi’s sound.
Traveling from dancefloor-geared groovers to space-ready euphoria, space•lab’s fifth EP lands with four otherworldly tracks. Kicking things off, we have the swirling atmospheres, trippy vocal samples, and broken grooves of Dylan Forbes’s ‘Resoblaster’. This is followed up by Mariiin’s ‘Restless Mind’, which journeys to the tonally darker reaches of classic prog-trance, with its spun-out synth melody and deep, driving bassline. Next up, Rambal Cochet, the artist behind space•lab’s fourth EP, makes a return with the spacious, hypnotic wormholer, ‘Mushroom Hill Zone’. Rounding things off, punchy kick drums combine with zero-gravity atmospheres for KAWAII SAN’s drifting-through-cyberspace groover, ‘Nuclear’.
