The Athenian producer and co-founder of WonTon records made his debut in 2020, with the album "IRINA" and his collaboration with Lena Platonos on the eponymous track, putting him on the lists of the top domestic albums of the year.
His fixation with analog synths, endless synthetic sequences and world-weary narratives of urban everyday people continues in the second LP with the, representative of his sound, title "CANCELLATION" (ΜΑΤΑΙΩΣΗ).

Mick Wills is no stranger to Frigio Records, the German Dj and producer has turned his hand to edits and remixes on previous releases and now arrives with his own 12” of edits for the volumen 4th of the label’s Ecdisis series. The source material for the two pieces on offer comes from Brazil’s Simbolo, a band formed in 1988 and still active with a career spanning more than thirty years, was a central player in South America’s EBM and Synth scene. Wills has selected two tracks from the Brazilian’s back catalogue, the first being “Mind.” Industrial influences come immediately to the fore, complex drum patterns give way to a juddering groove in which guttural vocals depict a scene of hurt and pain.“Synchrono” occupies the flip. Taken from the 1995 album, In the Danger Zone, the original two minute piece is extended into a seven plus minute epic. Following on from “Mind”, “Synchrono” melts stuttering bass-lines and textured percussion with indecipherable lyrics counter-balancing heady strings. Two cuts of emotive and impacting electronics.

Nicolas Estany is known for his silken synth productions and lurid live shows under his moniker Visonia. Born in the shadows, this mini-album presents a new sound by the Chilean.Bruised beats, crushed compositions and lacerated lyrics are the new terrain explored, percussion melting with voice in the morphing “The Brain Plays With Me” and shapeshifting “Don’t Trust In The First Whispers". Drums are bolstered across the sextet, rain and rust clinging to brutalised “Who Will Enter First” before rage and warmth melt in “Aphasia.” Yet, in spite of these darker machinations, that unmistakable balance of Visonia is present; it dawns in the title piece with its woebegone words, before resurfacing in the furtive liquid electronics of “Melted Doubts.”
Wolves-based duo TC4 have been working it for some time now, dropping their first 12" back in 2013 and continuing to push a sprightly speed garage sound that spells instant good times. This self-titled label sees them back on the case with four good time joints that make great use of RnB samples, chirpy piano chords and beats with all the bump. 'Feels' has more of a deep house vibe, 'Gold Teeth' takes it straight to classic UKG territory, but without fail all these jams swing tuff and bring enough heat to set a pool party on fire.
SOUR records is a label based in Paris whose aim is to put underground talents on wax. This second release brings back deep house in the limelight. It contains dope and dirty oldschool grooves with a fresh twist made by parisian producer Ernesto. The two groovy & jazzy tracks on the A-side are full of club energy. And the beautiful 8-min long electronic journey on the B-side is perfect for stirring up the crowds under a rising sun next summer. Warm samples, groovy analog basslines, bouncing beats and lush ambiances : this E.P. is the kind of cocktail you just can't stop sipping...
